Last Friday I got to do a Halloween Session for the oh-so sweet and adorable Miss. Kallie Jo! She was the cutest scarecrow I have ever seen! Everyone at the arboretum was just gawking at her, too precious! Besides the fact that it was way crowded and much warmer than we thought it would be, miss Kallie did great!
I couldn't resist on this one! Even upset she's too stinkin cute!
Welcome! If you have any questions or want to book a session you can e-mail me at "j.lynnphotography@yahoo.com", thanks!

To Blog or Not To Blog
I wanted to take a quick poll and get some other opinions. I recently posted that I would be making this my photography/project blog as opposed to strictly photography, but now I'm not so sure.
I'm starting to think that I should just do a completely different blog for projects, personal life, and such.
If you look to your right I have a teeny-tiny poll going and would love your input! You can also leave a comment below.
Thanks everyone!

Procrasti.............nation and Finger Paint!
Yes, yes, my post title is extremely random today, but those are the two fun topics on the agenda today, WOO HOO! Who doesn't like to talk about procrastination and finger paint??? I know I do! Anyways, we'll talk about finger paints first and procrastination last ( it seems only right as a procrastinator myself to put off talking about it until last! ).
If you're on pinterest then you know they have TONS of awesome craft/DIY ideas! Feel free to follow me on pinterest! Sooo, being the wanna-be that I am, I thought I'd start trying some of these out every now and then to see just how easy they are. The first DIY I did was a recipe for finger paint, as listed below:
I will be telling you what worked for me and what didn't and hopefully you can get a better outcome than I did!
1. It's pretty self-explanatory and not hard at all! I combined all of my ingredients into the saucepan and started heating.
2. Now, I just started cooking more a couple of months ago so as far as how much heat to give it to thicken I didn't have a clue and they don't tell you above. Here's where I made my mistake, for a bit I put it on low heat which was getting me nowhere! But I wasn't sure so I left it like that for about 20-30 min. When I finally realized that it was barely starting to get thick, I bumped it up to medium heat and BAM! It started to thicken quick! Here's what it looked like:
3. Remove from heat and cool. For the most part, the consistency and texture seemed to be pretty good.
4. After it cooled I added food coloring and stored in old baby jars. ( I knew they'd come in handy some day! ).
What I did notice was that when I stirred it I had lumpy parts that where harder than the rest and I'm pretty sure it's from overcooking it. So that sucked, but it still turned out okay. I plan on doing some more research to try again because the texture just wasn't slippery smooth like regular finger paint.
The upside? It's totally edible! So if you're sweet baby is playing with it and decides they want to stick it in their mouth, which most do, there's no chemicals or anything of that sort in it.
So please let me know if you have a better recipe and would like to share! I sure hope this helps a little! Thanks guys and Happy Hump Day!
Oh goodness, almost forgot about P R O C R A S T I N A T I O N ! This is something that I will be working on very hard! I tend to get really excited about projects and goals and such and open my mouth about them before I even realize that I don't have the money or maybe the time right then to do it. Theeeeen even when I do, it gets put off, and put off, and put off some more, you get the idea.
So basically I want to say I'm so sorry for posting about projects that I haven't got to work on yet and won't be able to for a while! I will only be posting finished projects or along-the-way projects from now on. Thanks so much for your patience! I'm still learning how to blog the right way! ; )

Happy Friday!
Okay so I'm sure by now you've realized that I haven't been able to do my canvas project, and I'm not very happy about it! But that's OKAY! Honestly there is so much going on right now between getting ready to ELOPE, Halloween, going to MN for Thanksgiving and then Christmas, on top of chasing after a 2 year old all day! So, I will do my best to post projects when I can. Oh and if you have any awesome ideas on crafts that you love please share! Especially inexpensive ones! ; )
So as I mentioned above I am getting married in TWO WEEKS! Wow it has come up so quickly! Did I lose the extra 20-30 lbs I needed to? Of course not, but working out 5-6 days a week definitely helps. So for a little added help I think I'm going to try a DIY at-home body wrap! I had one done several years ago and absolutely loved it. I'm heading to the store this evening to get the rest of what I need and then we shall see. Even though I will NOT be posting before and after pics, I will definitely let you know if I lose any inches and what recipe I used. So stay tuned! Happy Friday!
Until my next post, just a little something to think about ; )

Hello!
Okay so I've decided to turn this into my photography/project blog! I LOVE doing projects as much as I love photography so I've decided to add it to the mix! Of course most of my projects will be Pinterest inspired (if you haven't been on there yet it is truly addicting and extremely helpful in my opinion!). Next week's project I will be doing a picture canvas. Basically rather than ordering a really expensive canvas of a family portrait online, I will be doing it myself!
So stay tuned for that because after I've done the project I'll also be letting you know what works and didn't work for me! That way if you want to try it out it might make it easier for you! =)
Lots of fun stuff coming up and I can't wait to share it with you all! Feel free to follow me on Pinterest. Enjoy!
Later!
P.S.
Don't forget, I gave you fair warning about how addictive it is! Especially if you love crafts, recipes, tips and tricks for just about anything, and TONS of inspiration for EVERYTHING in your life! =) I'm actually working on two projects, I'm in the middle of doing one similar to this:
I'm doing a test version right now to work out all the kinks and then I'll do this one later, so stoked!
